September 16, 2026 - The Highway 5 (Lisa and Earl) A very nice late-season drive and an excellent appetizer - garlic cheese curds - was also enjoyed by all. For burgers, there were enough spicy choices that almost make me wish I were still as...adventurous...as I used to be but there was a least of bit of habanero pepper in the bacon jam burger that I had.  Definitely not an overpowering amount but enough to notice until I got home. September 9, 2026 - Mac's   BG's Bar and Grill (Kathy, Lisa, and Earl) So...apparently Mac's is no longer open?  Anyone? Anyhow, the three of us ended up at BG's which continues to be a good little bar & grill.  This was fun on a beautiful Saturday morning. The top left is where I was on Tomahawk Rd. on my way to Brodigan's for the day.  I will admit to ignoring multiple ROAD CLOSED AHEAD signs because I've made it through that stuff before.  You can see that the road I was on was about to cross over the Stony River.   The immediate right turn is where I could actually believe that the road was closed.   Mainly because the bridge deck in front of me was gone and several pieces of heavy equipment were in place on both sides of the river.  The right turn took me and the Maverick on the Kelly Trail.Considering that current ATVs are basically cars, it was a quick coin flip to take the designated "ATV DETOUR" - 10 miles of what I would consider to be a narrow, low-maintenance county road.  There were a few rocks that I had to avoid, but having a smaller truck came in handy. Here's a short preview of  a pretty good section of the trail.  

 40+ feet of dock. 20+ feet of trailer. Plastic wheels not made for speed.  Or roads . We actually made it with few problems.  (None, actually!) In place and almost ready to roll in.  The offshore wheels need to be a bit higher so that will have to happen first.
